Ready to bring a splash of Italy to your glass? The Aperol Spritz is the ultimate sunny-day cocktail—light, bubbly, and delightfully zesty.

INGREDIENTS

  • 60ml Aperol

  • 90ml Prosecco (sparkling white wine, make sure it's nice and cold)

  • 30ml soda water (chilled)

  • Ice cubes (a good handful to keep it all frosty)

  • A slice of orange, for garnish

METHOD

  1. Grab a wine glass: You'll want a decent-sized wine glass for this one, so you've got plenty of room for the social sip ice and bubbles.

  2. Ice it up: Fill up the wine glass with social sip ice. Don't be shy; the more ice, the cooler and more refreshing it'll be.

  3. Pour in the Aperol: Measure out about 60ml of Aperol and slosh it over the ice. That's where your spritz gets its stunning colour and unique flavour.

  4. Add the Prosecco: Next up, gently pour in around 90ml of Prosecco on top of the Aperol. It's the fizz that brings the party to your glass.

  5. Top with soda: Just a splash of soda water now, about 30ml should do the trick. It adds a bit more fizz and dilutes the mix slightly, making it even more drinkable.

  6. Garnish with orange: Pop a slice of orange into the glass. It's not just for looks; it adds a nice citrusy aroma and a bit of taste too.

  7. Give it a gentle stir: Just a quick mix with a stirrer or a spoon to blend all those flavours together.

 

Sip Tip: For an extra zing, squeeze a bit of fresh orange juice into the mix before topping with soda.
